Kilo Class Submarine

The Kilo-class submarines are diesel-electric attack submarines designed by the Soviet Union. Algeria operates both original and improved variants, with a total of 6 submarines in service as of 2023. They are primarily used for coastal defense and anti-submarine warfare. Operationally, the class is oriented toward anti-surface warfare, anti-submarine warfare, as well as mine warfare.
