Karel Doorman Class Frigate comprises Belgium's two M-class/Karel Doorman frigates. The Karel Doorman-class frigates are multi-purpose vessels acquired from the Royal Netherlands Navy. They are currently in active service with the Belgian Navy. Operationally, the class is oriented toward fleet air defence, anti-surface warfare, anti-submarine warfare, embarked helicopter operations, as well as situational awareness and combat direction.
