Abu Bakar Class Frigate (Type 053H2) covers Bangladesh's two ex-Chinese Type 053H2/Jianghu III frigates. The Jianghu-III Class (Type 053H2) frigates are multirole vessels used by the Bangladesh Navy. They were procured in 2014 and are currently operational. Operationally, the class is oriented toward anti-surface warfare, anti-submarine warfare, as well as situational awareness and combat direction.
