Dongdiao Class (Type 815) Electronic Surveillance

The Dongdiao Type 815 class is an earlier Chinese electronic-surveillance ship design. It supports signals collection and maritime monitoring missions, giving the PLAN a dedicated intelligence platform outside ordinary combatant roles. The later Dongdiao II class expands this mission area, but the original class remains important in the development of China's naval intelligence fleet.
