Public description

Greifswald/Kondor I Class Patrol Vessel represents the former East German Kondor I vessel Vigilante in Cabo Verde service, kept as reserve/uncertain with legacy gun/radar and removed mine-warfare context rather than active combat capability. The Kondor I Class consists of mine countermeasure vessels designed for coastal defense and mine clearance operations. They are currently in service with Cabo Verde, with no new builds planned. Operationally, the class is oriented toward maritime security and patrol, as well as situational awareness and combat direction.
