The Eridan class is the French Tripartite minehunter generation now being drawn down as SLAM-F introduces a more modern, remote mine-warfare model. The remaining ships are focused on mine detection, classification and disposal rather than surface combat, with minehunting sonar and PAP disposal vehicles as the defining systems.
