Yuting-I Class (Type 072III)

The Yuting-I Type 072III class is an older PLAN tank landing ship generation for beaching, vehicle transport and regional amphibious support. Its role is direct lift rather than sophisticated aviation-led assault. It adds capacity to the amphibious force, but its command, aviation and survivability profile is well below the newer Type 071 and Type 075 classes.
