Public description
The Pansio Class consists of three inshore minelayers designed for mine countermeasures. They are currently active in the Finnish Navy, serving in the 4th Mine Countermeasures Squadron. The class is expected to remain in service until replaced by newer vessels. Operationally, the class is oriented toward mine countermeasures, as well as fleet sustainment and logistics.
